Job Summary:

Home Support Workers work directly in clients’ homes to help clients with many hands-on tasks to support them in their home environments. Clients receive home support for personal care, homemaking, behavioral support and respite care and HSWs perform tasks in client’s homes in accordance with agency policies and the client care plan specific to their client. HSWs at Total Care are supervised by a Client Care Coordinator of Total Care.

Skills & Education:

  • Grade 12 Diploma preferred
  • Previous experience providing care for others preferred
  • Valid first aid certificate and code of conduct (with vulnerable sector check
  • Experience working with seniors and or physically disabled individuals
  • Medical certificate from Family Doctor or Nurse Practitioner
  • Negative TB skin test
  • Immunization Record (MMR)
  • Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain
